On Thursday 18th, January we celebrated the 2nd birthday of BLGC Westhoughton. It was no ordinary birthday party as we welcomed all our Junior Club members in their onesie pyjamas.
Decorated in the club’s colours all around the centre thanks to kind donations from Club Patrons, Gee Tees, young people were welcomed by staff who were also dressed in their favourite onesie.
A buffet filled with sandwiches, sausage rolls and many other mouth watering snacks were on hand to ensure that no stomach went hungry. With crisps and popcorn on hand the entertainment got underway as we kicked off with a treasure hunt. We soon found out that we had some very competitive youngsters as a game of musical chairs got underway. There was no time to rest as staff challenged members to a dance off and off course they accepted gleefully. It turned out to be a no contest as Junior Club members boogied, wiggled and snake wormed their way to victory.
The evening was tipped off with a golden ticket hunt as golden tickets were hidden around the club in similar fashion to Wily Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with winners winning a bar of chocolate each.
Thank you to everybody that made it an evening to remember and we hope you can join us again for years to come.
