Award-winning technology company, IDNS, are continuing to support their local community by becoming a patron for Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC). The funding provided by IDNS will help open the BLGC’s doors every night and provide a safe place for youngsters to socialise and learn key skills. The funding comes as a welcome sight to the organisation, as the charity sector in the UK is facing a £10bn funding shortfall due to COVID-19.
“We are absolutely delighted at BLGC that IDNS have joined our Patrons Family as a Silver Patron. The Patronage donations we receive each year help us to continue to provide the vital services our Young People need. We are always so appreciative of the support, even more so given the hardships of this year.” – Kelly Mcfadden – Head of Fundraising BLGC
By becoming a silver patron for BLGC, IDNS will have an impact on the club’s 3,500 members, allowing them to conduct future programmes that improve young people’s employability rates and have a positive impact on young minds.
Managing Director of IDNS, David Shuttleworth, spoke about his personal experience socialising at the club: “IDNS are proud to become a Patron of Bolton Lads & Girls Club. The club has a long history in our town and now boasts a range of facilities and support services for thousands of young people in our local community. The work BLGC conducts is invaluable and includes sports, arts, mentoring and community outreach work. We look forward to supporting BLGC in the future and helping them nurture the young people of Bolton. It was 40 years ago when I walked through the doors of the old club on Bark Street and learned to play table tennis there. Times have moved on; the club has changed yet the work it does is more important than ever.”
